Chantry House tower block in Sheffield stood an impressive 15 storeys high and was within 5 meters of newly built social housing. There was an extensive asbestos strip, followed by a full stripped-out the building, before pre-weakening the structure via guidance from structural engineers. The building was then reduced to rubble via precise explosives.

All arisings (over 3000 tonnes) were removed from site to be recycled at our depot as site conditions did not allow crushing on site. This project required early communication, months in advance, with hundreds of local residents and businesses who needed to be removed from their properties on the day of the blast, as well as co-ordination with the local council and authorities etc.
